Over the last 10 years and more we have helped our clients to make wise investment decisions, build their property portfolios, protect their assets, secure clever financing and develop a plan for a more financially independent retirement.
We feel that we can apply our business and investment expertise and experience to the world of fundraising to do “our bit” for small UK charities that are feeling the pressures of government cuts and are struggling to find large benefactors to fill the gaps.
We aim to raise at least £10,000 for each charity that we select and we choose to support small charities that will see a substantial impact from such a size of donation.
We not only fundraise for the selected charity, we also offer our time, advice and assistance on a voluntary basis. Every £1 raised is used to benefit the users of the charity with Assetz picking up the bill for any administrative expenses and overheads.
In 2015 Assetz will be fundraising for a local cause, The Booth Centre. Located in Manchester, the Booth Centre helps homeless people move off the streets, find a new home and get back into work, by offering education, advice and support. The day centre also offers hot meals and shelter for those in need, with over 170 homeless people visiting the centre each week.
The Booth Centre depends on donations from the public and a donation of just £10 can pay for 10 hot meals in the cafè and three sets of warm gloves, socks and hats. All the donations go directly to helping homeless people move off the streets as quickly as possible and to work towards increasing their skills, gaining qualifications and getting back to work.
Donations to the Booth Centre will help transform the lives of homeless people in the city of Manchester and Assetz want to be part of this. The Booth Centre never turn anybody away and Assetz want to ensure they can keep doing the amazing work they are doing, by fundraising for such a worthwhile cause. To kick start our new fundraising initiative Assetz will be collecting items off the Booth Centres wish list including toiletries, clothing, tinned and fresh food and books and board games. All these items will help with the daily running of the centre and ensure nobody goes without a hot drink or meal in the cold winter months.
